EN| It all started in 2020 in Caños de Meca, a small village at the Costa de la Luz that is actually known among hippies and surfers. Anyone vacationing or living in the area will some day almost inevitably pass by this little café, which, by the way, is also open in the off-season. For me, after my first visit, the "Surf-Meca" quickly turned into a "Coffee-Meca", to which I pilgrimage at least once a week, so delicious are the coffee specialties and cakes offered here. Amazing, that The Singular Coffee opened a second branch in Vejer de la Frontera during Easter time.
ES| Todo comenzó en 2020 en Caños de Meca, un pequeño pueblo de la Costa de la Luz que en realidad es conocido entre los hippies y los surfistas. Cualquiera que esté de vacaciones o viva en la zona pasará un día casi inevitablemente por este pequeño café, que, por cierto, también está abierto en temporada baja. Para mí, después de mi primera visita, la "Surf-Meca" se convirtió rápidamente en una "Café-Meca", a la que peregrino al menos una vez a la semana, tan deliciosos son las especialidades de café y los dulces que ofrecen aquí. Qué suerte que The Singular Coffee haya abierto en Semana Santa una segunda cafetería en Vejer de la Frontera .
DE| Alles begann 2020 in Caños de Meca, einem kleinen Ort an der Costa de la Luz, der eigentlich unter Hippies und Surfern bekannt ist. Wer hier in der Gegend Urlaub macht oder wohnt, wird fast unweigerlich eines Tages an diesem kleinen Café vorbeikommen, das übrigens auch in der Nebensaison geöffnet ist. Für mich hat sich nach dem ersten Besuch das "Surf-Meca" schnell zu einem „Kaffee-Meca“ verwandelt, zu dem ich mindestens einmal die Woche pilgere, so köstlich sind die Kaffee-Spezialitäten und Torten, die hier angeboten werden. Was für ein Glück, daß The Singular Coffee Ostern eine zweite Filiale in Vejer de la Frontera eröffnet hat..

Dann hast Du vermutlich noch nie einen sogenannten Spezialitätenkaffee probiert. Diese ausgewählten Kaffeebohnen stammen im Unterschied zur Massenproduktion aus kleinen Plantagen, wo die Arabica-Bohnen per Hand gepflückt, verarbeitet und später einem individuellen Röstverfahren unterzogen werden. Dieser Kaffee schmeckt auch ohne Zucker süß mit Aromen nach Schokolade und Früchten. Und er ist extrem bekömlich, denn er enthält auch nur die Hälte des Koffeingehalts eines herkömmlichen Kaffees.
EN| Caños or Vejer? A difficult question. Both coffee shops are open year-round. My favorite one is still The Singular Coffee in Caños de Meca because it's so delightfully relaxed and small, and so easy to combine with a walk on the beach or the hippie life. The elegant branch in Vejer is located right at the entrance to the old town center at a beautiful lookout point. There's plenty of outdoor seating here, and a more extensive menu that includes Asian-inspired snacks and salads.
ES| ¿Caños o Vejer? Una pregunta difícil. Ambas cafeterías están abiertas todo el año, Mi favorito sigue siendo la de Caños de Meca, porque es tan maravillosamente relajada y pequeña, y tan fácil de combinar con un paseo por la playa o la vida hippie. La elegante sucursal de Vejer está situada justo a la entrada del casco antiguo, en un hermoso mirador. Hay muchos asientos en la terraza y un menú más amplio, que incluye snacks y ensaladas asiáticas.

Mein Favorit ist immer noch das Singular Coffee in Caños de Meca, weil es so herrlich entspannt und klein ist und sich so gut mit einem Stranspaziergang oder dem Hippieleben verbinden läßt. Die elegante Filiale in Vejer liegt direkt am Eingang zum alten Ortkern an einem wunderschönen Aussichtspunkt. Hier gibt viele Sitzplätze auf der Terasse und eine umfangreichere Speisekarte, die auch asiatisch angehauchte Snacks und Salate bietet.
