EN| The beach Playa de la Casería belongs to San Fernando, a sleepy, historic town you will normally only notice when pasing in direction to Cádiz. Many thanks to José Antonio for this awesome insider tip! I would never have found this tiny only 1 km long beach which is pretty well-known among locals.

DE| Der Playa de la Casería gehört zu San Fernando, einer historische Stadt, die ein wenig vor sich hinschlummert und die man normalerweise höchstens als Durchfahrtsort nach Cádiz wahrnimmt. Herzlichen Dank an José Antonio für diesen Insider-Tipp; Niemals hätte ich den nur 1 km langen Strand gefunden, dabei ist er unter Einheimischen wohl bekannt.

EN| This tiny beach is hidden in an commercial area. Using Google Maps please be aware that there are two locations "Playa de la Casería". In order to not get lost I recomend you to put the name of one of the beach bars in your navigator: El Bartolo or Casa Muriel.
ES| Este playecita se encuentra bien escondido en un polígono industrial. Y como en Google Maps existen dos sitios llamados Playa de la Casería sería lo mejor poner en
tu navigator el nombre de uno de los chiringuitos que se encuentran por ahí, El Bartolo o Casa Muriel.
DE| Der Playa de la Casería liegt versteckt in einem Gewerbegebiet. Weil man in Google Maps zwei Orte mit demselben Namen "playa de la casería" findet, gibst Du am Besten in Deinem Navi eins der beiden Chiringuitos ein, die sich dort befinden: El Bartolo oder Casa Muriel.
EN| These two restaurants (chiringuitos) located directly at the sea are the real attraction of the beach. Here you will be served fresh fish, autentic local cuisine, a wonderful view to the Bahía of Cádiz and an awesome sundown.
ES| Ambos chiringuitos que están ubicados directamente al lado del mar son la verdadera attración de la playa. Aquí te ofrecen pescado fresco, autentica cocina regional, una vista hermosa de la bahía de Cádiz y una puesta del sol maravillosa.

EN| It's a pity that this beach no more is for swimming. The construction of the bridge Puente Carranza effectuates the current of the sea and therfore no sand is washed ashore. The beach silt up. Also the water quality is suffring. But inimitable is the fishermen atmosphere which is respiring this small place with its colorful framehouses and fishing boats. Pure nostalgia.
ES| Desgraciadamente esta playa no más es para bañar. La construción de la puente Carranza en 1969 tiene el efecto de influir a la corriente máritima y desde entonces no llega la arena. La playa se embarra. También la cualidad del agua sufre. Sin par es la atmósfera pescadora que respire este sitio pequeño con sus casitas de colores y sus barcitos. Nostalgia pura.
DE| Zum Baden ist der Strand leider nicht mehr geeignet. Der Bau der Brücke Puente Carranza 1969 hat bewirkt, daß die Meeresströmungen behindert sind und seither kein Sand mehr angeschwemmt wird. Der Strand verschlammt. Auch die Wasserqualität ist eher fragwürdig. Einzigartig ist aber die Fischermanns-Atmophäre, die dieser kleine Ort verströmt mit seinen bunt bemalten Holzhäuschen und Fischbooten. Nostalgie pur.
EN| This beach became famous also for another reason due to this above mentioned conflict of nature reserve, tradition and the increasing preasure of urbanization. Directly at the background of this small idyll have been constructed 2007 three controversial tower buildings, others are planed. On the other hand is the spanish government projecting since a long time a restructure of the whole territory (Proyecto de regeneración de la playa de La Casería) and it can be that the restaurants and framehouses will be deleted soon.
ES| La playa se puso famoso también por otra razón, es decir por exactamente este conflicto de reserva natural, tradición y una urbanicación cada vez más apretando. Directamente detrás de este chiquito idilio construyeron en 2007 tres altos edificios controvertidos, otros están planeados. Al otro lado tiene el gobierno español hace tiempo planes para una reestructuración de ese terreno (Proyecto de regeneración de la playa de La Casería) así que puede ser que en poco tiempo los chiringuitos y casitas desaparecarán.
DE| Bekannt geworden ist der Strand noch aus einem anderen Grund, nämlich eben diesen Konflikt aus Naturschutzgebiet, Tradition und ein zunehmendes Bedrängen durch die Urbanisierung. Direkt hinter dem kleinen Idyll wurden 2007 drei umstrittene Hochhäuser gebaut, weitere sollen folgen. Auf der anderen Seite plant die spanische Regierung schon seit längerem eine Umstrukturierung des gesamten Gebiets (Proyecto de regeneración de la playa de La Casería) und es kann sein, daß in Kürze die Chiringuitos und Fischerhäuschen weichen müssen.

EN| The shopping mall "Centro Comercial Bahía Sur" is very close and a perfect match: first shopping, later culture and relaxation. And who wants to swim afterwards just go to another beach of San Fernando called "La Playa de Camposoto".
ES| El Centro Comercial Bahía Sur está muy cerca así que es una buena combinación: Primero ir de compras, despues cultura y relajamiento. Y quien tiene ganas de bañar se va después simplemente a otra playa de San Fernando llamada La Playa de Camposoto.
DE| Das Einkaufszentrum "Centro Comercial Bahía Sur" liegt relativ nah und ist eine gute Kombination. Erst Shoppen, dann Kultur und Entspannung. Und wer noch Lust auf Baden hat, fährt einfach noch an den anderen Strand von San Fernando "Playa de Camposoto".
