How it all started. Why this is not a normal travel blog.
EN| Hi and welcome! I am glad to meet you here! Maybe you are wondering about the name of theis blog. Actually cuba and other stories was planed to be a travelblog about Cuba, Spain and other favorite location. The longer I am traveling, the more I am aware that this has become the journey of my life. But let us first see, how it all started.
ES| Hola y bienvenido! Encantada de encontrarte aquí! Tal vez estás un poco extrañado por el nombre de este blog. De hecho la idea de cuba and other stories (= cuba y otros cuentos) fue un blog de viaje sobre Cuba, España y otros lugares fascinantes. Cuanto más estoy viajando, más me doy cuenta de que eso se ha vuelto en la gira de mi vida. Pero primero dejanos ver como todo empezó.
DE| Hallo und herzlich willkommen! Schön, daß Du hier bist! Vielleicht wunderst Du Dich über den Namen meines Blogs. Eigentlich war cuba and other stories (Kuba und andere Geschichten) als Reiseblog geplant. Je länger ich aber reise, desto mehr wird mir bewußt, daß dies die Reise meines Lebens ist. Aber laß uns erst mal sehen, wie alles begann.
EN| Everything started in Cuba where I decided to travel to about six years ago for the first time. I have to say that I always have been a Salsa-lover and just wanted to live to see the home of salsa before becoming too old. This was the idea.
ES| Todo empezó en Cuba adonde me fui hace seis años la primera vez. La salsa siempre me ha encantado, ahora queria experimentar la patria del son antes de volverme vieja. Eso fue la idea.
DE| Vor ungefähr sechs Jahren bin ich das erste Mal nach Cuba gefahren. Salsa war schon immer meine Leidenschaft und wollte unbedingt die Heimat des Son kennenlernen, bevor ich alt werde. Das war die Idee.
EN| I felt deeply in love with. In love with the heat, the palm trees, the classic cars, the beach, the eclectic buildings, the music and above all with the people. In Cuba is such a special vibration and I am feeling complete and good.
ES| Me enamoré. Me enamoré del calor, de las palmeras, de los coches clasicos, de la play, de la architectura eclectica, de la musica, y sobre todo de los cubanos. En Cuba, para mí, hay una vibración muy peculiar que me hace sentir completa y bien.
DE| Ich habe mich sofort verliebt. Ich habe mich verliebt in die Hitze, die Palmen, die Oldtimer, die Strände, die wunderschönen Gebäude, und vor allem in die Kubaner. Kuba hat eine unglaubliche Energie und ich fühle mich vollkommen und unglaublich gut.
EN| Cuba is still my favorite country, but in 2019 I opted for visiting Spain once again - after 20 years. It was a great round-trip from Madrid to Sevilla, a retrieval, and for me the impuls that I want to live in Cuba, Spain and Germany. Am I a dropout? Am I a digital nomad? I don't know, but I know what my inner voice is calling for. Come with me, there are many stories to tell!
ES| Cuba todavía es mi país favorito pero en 2019 quería visitar a España tambíen - después de 20 años! Fue un recorrido maravilloso desde Madrid a Sevilla, un reencuentro y para mí el impulso por querer vivir en todas mis paises preferidos. Soy un marginado? Soy una nomada digital? No le sé pero sé lo que mi voz interior está deseando. Ven conmigo, hay muchos cuentos que contar!
DE| Cuba ist immer noch mein Lieblingsland, aber 2019 habe ich mich entschlossen, auch noch einmal nach Spanien zu reisen - nach 20 Jahren! Es war eine großartige Rundreise, ein Wiederfinden und der Impuls, daß ich in allen meinen drei Lieblingsländern leben möchte. Bin ich ein Aussteiger? Bin ich ein digitaler Nomade? Ich weiß es nicht, aber ich weiß, daß es das ist, was meine innere Stimme sich wünscht. Komm mit mir, es gibt viele Geschichten zu erzählen!
